The Perfect Dish

A story about a genius chef haunted by his vision of perfection: it explores the toll it takes on someone with too much talent and gifts, who causes oneself to set expectations that are impossible to achieve. His continuous drive for originality and perfection drives him to insanity and ruins his relationships.

The story revolves around Joo-Young, a highly acclaimed chef who, though extraordinarily gifted in the culinary arts, gradually deteriorates both physically and mentally. Despite his awful reputation for running a restaurant, customers and staff continue to be amazed at his ability to develop innovative, elegant dishes.

This script explores the themes of the pursuit of excellence, the tension between perfection and imperfection, and the tragedy of a genius.
